PINK OCTOBER AT CBX: BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

CBX, in collaboration with COMESAMA, brings the “Pink Month”. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which seeks to make women and men aware of the importance of regular screenings for early detection of this disease.

CBX turns pink this coming month of October and collaborates with COMESAMA (Coalición Mexicana por la Salud Mamaria), a coalition of associations that seek to look over breast cancer patients and their needs.

October is labeled as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and CBX seeks to make women and men all over the world pay attention to the importance of early detection, treatments, and any supportive care for this disease. Between 75% and 85% of cases of breast cancer can be treated and cured if they are detected on time. Breast cancer has the highest mortality rate among cancers and especially among women, that is why big emphasis is made about regularity in preventive screenings (at least once a year) and self-exploration every month. All women should be familiarized with their breasts, so any change or anomaly can be distinguished easily and fast.

It is October, the month where programs are made to spread information and awareness in different forms. Fundraisers, ribbons, or campaigns plastered over billboards, commercials, social media, and even social and sport events. CBX and COMESAMA invite you to seek healthy and preventive habits, ones that can save your life, this Pink Month.
