You may only use the bridge within 24 hours of your flight departure

Travelers are permitted to cross into Mexico. All passengers traveling southbound must complete a health and recent travel questionnaire required by Mexican authorities upon entering the country. Fill out the questionnaire here and expedite your travel.

Mexican Nationals:

  • Passport, INE credential, birth certificate, consular card o Mexican nationality certificate.
  • Boarding pass
  • CBX ticket

Foreigner:

  • Passport
  • FMM Form (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) Complete your FMM form here.

Requirements to cross to the United States through CBX

You may use the CBX bridge to cross to San Diego within 2 hours of landing in the Tijuana International Airport. Make sure not to leave the baggage claim area and head towards the CBX entrance.

A COVID-19 test is not required for CBX passengers. Current travel restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19 prevent B1 and B2 tourist from entering the United States. There are no travel restrictions into the U.S. for U.S. citizens or residents. Passengers traveling for essential reasons with proper documentation may also be permitted entry. We encourage you to visit the Department of Homeland Security’s website to review the latest travel restrictions to the United States https://www.dhs.gov/coronavirus/overview-dhs-response and the official Notification of Temporary Travel Restrictions prior to your travel.

Can I get my I-94 permit in CBX when entering the U.S.?
Yes, Customs and Border Protection offers this service in CBX, just like in any other land port of entry.

What is the cost of the I-94 permit?
I-94 permits cost 6 dollars each. No pesos are accepted and we recommend you bring exact change in dollars.
Do I need to return my I-94 permit when leaving the U.S?
Yes, upon coming back to Mexico you must return your I-94 permit. Deposit your permit in any of the two black mailboxes, one located in the CBX San Diego terminal and the other one going south to Mexico, right after the duty free shop.
