Requirements for foreign travelers going into Mexico: Multiple Migration Form (FMM)

International travelers must fill out a Mexican Immigration Form (FMM) before entering the country of Mexico by land. Save crossing time by filling it out electronically via their website, available in different languages.

CBX seeks to help you save time then crossing the border from the U.S. to Mexico by land, to fly from the Tijuana International Airport. You may only use our binational bridge within 24 hours if your flight departure with your boarding pass and CBX ticket.

After crossing the bridge an agent from the Instituto Nacional de Migración with welcome you, requesting the following documents:

  • Valid passport (book or card)
  • Mexican Immigration Form (FMM):this form can be filled out electronically via their website to save time. It is required that you print your form, since they won’t be accepting any documents on mobile devices. If you are visiting Mexico for more than 7 days, you are required to make the payment for the Non Resident Fee (DNR) that is currently $687 MXN as in 2023. Expedite your process making your payment online via wire transfer to any Mexican bank. You must show your voucher along with your documents. We advise you to keep your printed FMM copy with you since it will be requested going in and out of the country. Take good care of it!

Such documents may be requested and reviewed by the Cross Border Xpress staff to assist you in crossing the CBX bridge.
